VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo TDM Show Match: Date, Time, and More

The Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 Masters Tokyo is currently underway with eight teams battling it out in the qualifiers. Teams fight for glory, bragging rights along with a huge total prize pool of $1 million USD. The qualifying stage began on June 16 and is scheduled to end on June 25, with the best-of-five (BO5) finals. This tournament is high-stakes because the winner earns their region an extra berth for the Valorant Champions 2023 from the relevant Last Chance Qualifier.

However, there is more to this event than just these playoffs. On June 17th, Riot Games will present an exhibition match showcasing Valorant’s newest game mode: Team Deathmatch.

Riot Games announced,The Valorant Masters Finals in Greater Tokyo are heating up with a special showdown! Come watch fan-favorite creators from around the world team up to take on Valorant’s new high-octane game mode: Team Deathmatch.“

Notably, Team Deathmatch (TDM) will be available to play as part of the Episode 7 update. It will remain a permanent game mode. The game mode will feature three new custom maps designed specifically for this mode. They are as follows:

• Area: A map with a long sniper alley on one side and a horseshoe shaped building on the other side that can be used to control the middle.

• Square: A map with a relatively open middle that snipers nests overlook, and each nest can be surrounded by huts on either side.

• Casbah: A map in the form of an arena with many connections to the middle of the map, which contains most of the resources.

Team Deathmatch is a 5v5 team-based fighting mode that will have players progress through four phases of progressively deadlier combat, each with a unique set of weapons. Players will be able to use abilities as well as pick up recovery orbs and weapon generators. The first team to kill 100, or the highest score at the end of 10 minutes will be declared the winner.

Riot Games has stated that local superstars from Japan will team up against international talent and streamers to “A once-in-a-lifetime global battle, live on stage at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo before the start of the Grand Finals. While the full list of live streamers has not been announced, v1 Game Changers pro Melanie”MlCapone said Riot Games was taking her to Tokyo for the exhibition match.
