Valorant 7.0 patch notes Esport Admin, June 27, 2023 The Valorant patch 7.0 patch notes are here, and we’ve got all the info. The main meat of the patch is the Deadlock being added to the list of factors. You can see a breakdown of its capabilities here, along with an FAQ. With Episode 7, the first chapter will drop later today (or early tomorrow morning in the EU). Riot Games has dropped the official patch notes. The major addition obviously comes in the form of the Deadlock, however, there’s a lot changing as Valorant continues to expand. Team Deathmatch is a great addition to the list of game modes, and should be a perfect warm-up before ranked play. And the new progression system should be a welcome addition for new returning players. One of the major changes is the removal of Contracts, while the daily “Play a Game” bonus will have players participate on a daily basis in the game. Progress updates Update progression system Daily rewards This new feature recognizes your participation in the game with daily rewards. Every day you play matches, you will make progress on the checkpoint path. Each checkpoint on the track yields loads of experience points and our new in-game currency, Kingdom Credits. All game modes provide progression towards daily rewards except for Deathmatch. Kingdom Credits can be spent on accessories, agents, and agent gear. accessories store Use Kingdom Credits to purchase accessories from previous Battlepasses, including: player cards nebulizer Nicknames gun buddies Store agent The agent store simplifies the agent acquisition process. As always, you can use VP or Recruitment Tokens to open an Agent, and now you have a third option: unlock them with Kingdom Credits. Agent Recruitment Events Each new agent will have its own agent recruitment event upon launch. During these events, you will earn XP towards the new agent automatically. Also, you won’t be able to unlock the new Agent with Kingdom Credits or Recruitment Tokens, but you can still use the VP if you like. If you do not earn enough XP during the recruitment event to unlock the agent, that agent will normally become available for purchase, after the recruitment event, in the agent shop. Gear agent All of your favorite agent-themed gear is available for Kingdom Credits. For each agent, there are now 10 levels of agent gear instead of 10 levels of agent contract. To get agent gear, you must first own the agent, and then unlock each level of agent gear. Level 5 is used to unlock agents. However, since we’ve moved Agents to the Agent Shop, Level 5 will now give you a fixed amount of Kingdom Credits. However, if you already had the Agent, you wouldn’t get any Kingdom-specific credits at level five.
