Team Vitality pulls from the VCT EMEA LCQ to honor Twisten’s memory

Team Vitality has decided to withdraw from the upcoming VCT EMEA LCQ event

The last chance EMEA qualifiers are scheduled to begin on July 15th. Team Vitality, who failed to qualify for the Masters Tokyo tournament, was scheduled to take part in the event for a last chance to qualify for the Valorant Champions 2023 tournament. However, following the death of their teammate, Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener earlier this month, Team Vitality has made the option to withdraw from the tournament.

In a message shared on their official Twitter account, Team Vitality expressed their deep appreciation to the Valorant community and esports scene. However, they conveyed great grief that consumed both the players and the organization, making it impossible for them to continue playing for the rest of the season. With this decision, Team Vitality’s 2023 season has come to an end.
