Microsoft Travel has given St. Louis the casual thing Title “Dreamy Getaway” In a feature published Tuesday. The article suggests the rich history of St. Louis and the many unmissable attractions that make it a popular summer travel spot for tourists to consider.

St. Louis was incorporated in February 1764. Settled by French fur traders Pierre Laclade and Auguste Chouteau after a voyage from Illinois, the city earned it the name Louis IX of France. Microsoft Travel further notes that, prior to this, Native American mound builders settled in the area between the 9th and 15th centuries.

From its early inception to the present day, St. Louis has been praised for its arts scene. Microsoft Travel awards places like the Missouri Botanical Garden, Powell Symphony Hall, Cathedral Basilica, and Fabulous Fox for giving St. Louis an artistic flair.
